Viking cooking tools.
The vikings had many things we have today for cooking except theirs are made of completely different things. Their pots were made of either molded clay, iron or wood depending on wear they were and what they had. Their bowls were only made out of wood unlike today we have plastic bowls. Spoons were made of wood or horns, or bone because those were sterdy enough and easy enough to stay and hold things. They had cooking tongs made of iron just like scissors but with a flat end to pick things up and their untensils to take hot things out of a fire were all long and made of iron or metal.

Vikings in America
In 1000 A.D. Vikings found North America (they Found Canada) and called it Newfoundland. In the winter when it was really cold They lived in thule winter house's which are dome shaped house's made and covered up with things naturaly occuring on earth.(this picture on the bottom right is mainly what a thule winter house mainely looked like). After a couple years up North the Vikings went south(just a couple miles) finding the North Native Americans. Scientist have found native American Arrow heads in Viking settlements so they conclude that Vikings and Native Americans have had contact before fighting.
Viking Battle equipment and Stratagies.
Vikings use many weapons from Swords, Arrows, Spears, Axes, and they even used their sheilds to fight. They wear helmets made of stell and they also wear chainmail for protection.Their stratagie in my opinion is that they come from sea and then find a village near the ocean and burn it to the ground. The book says that they go to the North side of that specific area, then the go to a village, pillage it and then burn it to the ground with everyone their dead. These are what tipical Viking weapons, sheilds and Aromor would look like.
Viking Raiders
The Vikings first started to raid in 799 when they raided the Frankish Empire and shortly after that the franks had to organize coastal defences to protect themselfs from the vikings. Whenever the Vikings raided they use Swords and Sprears made of Iron and on sone spears they used Silver spear heads. Viking raiders have swords depending on your sex so Female have their own swords and Male have their own swords. Each sword is distinguished by the design on the hilt of the sword.
Viking Homelands
In the first chapter of this book it talks about how Scandinavia is the great Peninsula and it is also one of the orgins of Viking Settlements. Then Later in this chapter talks about the different Settlements that were created in Scandinavia. In the Second Chapter it talks about the Scandinavian Landscape. The Scandinavian Peninsula consist of Norway and Sweden and still expands more than 1,200 miles from North to South. This Peninsula was created by a Mile-thick Glacier that covered alot of this area during the last Ice-Age. This Section Also talks about how Vikings have made many tools to survive. For Example: They Made fishing Gear to hunt small and big fish but also Mammles found on the coastline. They fished with baited hooks wighed with sinkers (Just like today). While when they fished in rivers they used harpoons and nets to catch Salmon and Trout. Since Southern Norway and Sweeden had flourishing forest Vikings used axes consisting of an Iron Head at the top and wood as the handle and sometimes they used bones. Also since in the winter it snows and its hard to walk in snow to hunt they made ice skates Of Horse and Cattle bone. They also made skis made of wood and to prepel themselves through thet terrain they used iron tipped poles.
